This is the 2020-2021 North Carolina Real Estate Commission Broker-in- Charge Update course for the renewal period that began July 1, 2020 and runs through June 10, 2021. The Broker-in-Charge Update (BICUP) is the four-hour course all brokers-in-charge and brokers wanting to retain their BIC eligibility must take.

Brokers-in-charge and brokers who are BIC-eligible will receive Update credit for the BICUP course, and it will maintain the broker's BIC status/eligibility. If a BIC takes the General Update, CE credit will be given, but BIC status/eligibility will be lost. Please be advised that only BICs will receive Update credit for the BICUP.

BICs and brokers who are BIC-eligible are required to complete this course beginning the first full license year after the license year in which they were designated or became a broker-in-charge.

If you have any doubt of your eligibility, contact the N.C. Real Estate Commission at 919-875-3700 or www.ncrec.gov.

Topics include: Fair Housing, Contracts, Cybersecurity, Provisional Brokers on a Team, Law and Rule Updates and Licensing Education
