COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course examines shifts and trends in the real estate industry that may present challenges to brokers, and then proposes strategies for turning those challenges into opportunities. This course provides discussion on such items as technological enhancements, generational differences, and different/new business models that brokers must consider in developing an approach to surviving and thriving in a changing real estate world. This course has been updated in October 2023 to include a 50-minute segment on Artificial Intelligence. This course will take place in-person at the following location: The Charles Mack Citizen Center: 215 N Main St #2527, Mooresville, NC 28115 COURSE MATERIALS: Course materials will be located in your Student Dashboard available for download via the Canopy Campus prior to start of course. In-Person Classes only: Students will receive a hardcopy of the course materials when you arrive to class. ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT: Students are required to attend 90% of this class. Students cannot make up missed time due to lateness or absences. Students should ensure they can attend the required classroom hours before registering for a class. Students cannot use the allotted 10% to leave the class early. COMPLETION & PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT: Students will not receive credit for class time and participation if they fail to adhere to the policies outlined in our Policies and Procedures Disclosure. COURSE CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING: Canopy Real Estate Institute reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses that have not yet begun as needed. Our minimum enrollment requirement is ten (10) students. Students enrolled in a rescheduled or cancelled course that has not yet begun will be given a minimum of 24-hour notice of the cancellation or new course schedule. Students will have the option to reschedule [one-time] to another course or receive a full tuition refund, if applicable. Students who cannot attend the rescheduled course date(s) will forfeit their fee. Canopy Real Estate Institute DOES NOT provide refunds for continuing education courses.
