DescriptionLocationInstructorsCancellation Policy 2024-2025 General RE Update - In-Person 01/29/2024, 11:00 AM - 01/29/2025, 3:00 PM CREDIT HOURS: 4 hours (NC Update) *As of July 1, 2024, if you're a non-resident with a real estate license in South Carolina, you now need to take CE courses that are specifically approved by South Carolina, rather than using CE courses from your home state to satisfy SC requirements. These courses need to be offered by SC-approved providers and meet the standards set by the South Carolina Real Estate Commission. TUITION FEE(S): $50 (members); $65 (nonmembers) COURSE DESCRIPTION: This is the North Carolina Real Estate Commission's 2024-2025 General Update course for the renewal period July 1, 2024 through June 10, 2025. Topics discussed include: - Environmental Material Facts - NCREC Frequently Asked Questions - Permits - Education Update - Law and Rules Update Important Note: All provisional and non-BIC brokers must take the General RE Update course. If a BIC or broker who is BIC-eligible takes the General RE Update, CE Update credit will be given, but BIC status/eligibility will be lost. COURSE MATERIALS: Course materials will be located in your student dashboard available for download via Canopy Campus prior to start of course. In-Person Classes only: Students will receive a hardcopy of the course materials when you arrive to class. ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT: Students are required to attend 90% of this class. Students cannot make up missed time due to lateness or absences. Students should ensure they can attend the required classroom hours before registering for a class. Students cannot use the allotted 10% to leave the class early. COMPLETION & PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT: Students will not receive credit for class time and participation if they fail to adhere to the policies outlined in our Policies and Procedures Disclosure. COURSE CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING: Canopy Real Estate Institute reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses that have not yet begun as needed. Our minimum enrollment requirement is ten (10) students. Students enrolled in a rescheduled or cancelled course that has not yet begun will be given a minimum of 24-hour notice of the cancellation or new course schedule. Students will have the option to reschedule to another course or receive a full tuition refund, if applicable. Students who cannot attend the rescheduled course date(s) have the option to be counted as absent, reschedule to another course, or receive a full tuition refund. Canopy Real Estate Institute DOES NOT provide refunds for continuing education courses. You may withdraw from a course by giving written notice to the school prior to day of course. In such event, you will be rescheduled to a future course or registration placed on "hold" status.
