COURSE DESCRIPTION: By the end of this course, you will be able to; 1. Identify key aspirational concepts found in the National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics Preamble.2. Describe the concepts established in Articles 1, 12 & 15 and identify potential violations of the Code of Ethics specifically related to these articles and potential violations of corresponding North Carolina laws and North Carolina Real Estate Commission rules. 3. Analyze social media posts and determine whether or not a potential Code of Ethics violation exists. 4. Identify discriminatory speech and conduct that could violate article 10 of the Code of Ethics.

COURSE MATERIALS: Course materials will be located in your Student Dashboard available for download via the Canopy Campus prior to start of course. In-Person Classes only: Students will receive a hardcopy of the course materials when you arrive to class.  

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT: Students are required to attend 90% of this class. Students cannot make up missed time due to lateness or absences. Students should ensure they can attend the required classroom hours before registering for a class. Students cannot use the allotted 10% to leave the class early. 

COMPLETION & PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT: Students will not receive credit for class time and participation if they fail to adhere to the policies outlined in our  Policies and Procedures Disclosure.

COURSE CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING:  Canopy Real Estate Institute reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses that have not yet begun as needed. Our minimum enrollment requirement is ten (10) students. Students enrolled in a rescheduled or cancelled course that has not yet begun will be given a minimum of 24-hour notice of the cancellation or new course schedule. Students will have the option to reschedule [one-time] to another course or receive a full tuition refund, if applicable. Students who cannot attend the rescheduled course date(s) will forfeit their fee.  

Canopy Real Estate Institute DOES NOT provide refunds for continuing education courses. You may withdraw from a course by giving written notice to the school prior to day of course. In such event, you will be rescheduled to a future course or registration placed on "hold" status. Courses due to transfers, rescheduling or registration "holds" must be completed on or before June 10 of the same license period and CANNOT be applied to another license period.
