COURSE DESCRIPTION:  This course is designed to help brokers understand and demonstrate value to buyers, acquire skills and resources to succeed as buyer's representatives, find the right home with the right terms and negotiate the best probable sale price for their buyer.

This course is the first step towards becoming an ABR® designee. You will learn:

1. Methods, tools and techniques to provide the support and services that buyers want

2. How to increase your revenue and referrals and reduce your risk

NOTE: Upon completion of the two-day course and successfully passing the exam, you will have achieved ABR® candidate status, a three-year period during which you must fulfill the educational and experiential requirements to earn the Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR®) Designation awarded by the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council, Inc.

COURSE MATERIALS: Student Manual will be provided via Canopy Campus prior to start of course.   

NOTE:  Hardcopies of student materials may be available upon request by emailing canopyreinstitute@canopyrealtors.com.  Shipping and handling charges will apply if request is for delivery. Arrangements must be made for request by pickup at our office.  Canopy Real Estate Institute is located at 1120 Pearl Park Way, Charlotte, NC 28204 and open Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4pm, excluding holidays. 

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT:  You are required to attend 90% of this class.  Students cannot make up missed time due to lateness or absences. Students should ensure they can attend the required classroom hours before registering for a class.

COMPLETION & PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT:  You will not receive credit for class time and participation if you fail to adhere to the policies outlined in our Policies and Procedures Disclosure.

COURSE CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING: Written notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling seven (7) days prior to course. A $25 cancellation fee will be applied. Registrations canceled after seven (7) days prior to course will be nonrefundable.

Canopy Real Estate Institute reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses that have not yet begun as needed.  Our minimum enrollment requirement is ten (10) students. Students enrolled in a rescheduled or cancelled course that has not yet begun will be given a minimum of 24-hour notice of the cancellation or new course schedule.  Students will have the option to reschedule to another course or receive a full tuition refund, if applicable.  Students who cannot attend the rescheduled course date(s) have the option to be counted as absent, reschedule to another course, or receive a full tuition refund.
