TUITION FEE(S): $50 (members); $65 (nonmembers) COURSE DESCRIPTION: This is the North Carolina Real Estate Commission's 2023-2024 Broker-in-Charge Update course for the renewal period July 1, 2023 through June 10, 2024. Topics discussed include: - NCREC Top Complaints - NCREC On Your Side FAQs - Challenges of a Changing Market - Law & Rules Update - Licensing & Education - BIC Policies Important Note: BICs and BIC-Eligible Brokers must take the BIC RE Update course. Brokers who are NOT BIC/BIC-Eligible will not receive CE credit for the BIC Update and must complete the General Update. COURSE MATERIALS: Course materials will be located in your student dashboard available for download via Canopy Campus prior to start of course. In-Person Classes only: Students will receive a hardcopy of the course materials when you arrive to class. ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT: Students are required to attend 90% of this class. Students cannot make up missed time due to lateness or absences. Students should ensure they can attend the required classroom hours before registering for a class. Students cannot use the 10% to leave the class early. COMPLETION & PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT: Students will not receive credit for class time and participation if they fail to adhere to the policies outlined in our Policies and Procedures Disclosure. COURSE CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING: Canopy Real Estate Institute reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses that have not yet begun as needed. Our minimum enrollment requirement is ten (10) students. Students enrolled in a rescheduled or cancelled course that has not yet begun will be given a minimum of 24-hour notice of the cancellation or new course schedule. Students will have the option to reschedule to another course or receive a full tuition refund, if applicable. Students who cannot attend the rescheduled course date(s) have the option to be counted as absent, reschedule to another course, or receive a full tuition refund. Canopy Real Estate Institute DOES NOT provide refunds for continuing education courses. You may withdraw from a course by giving written notice to the school prior to day of course. In such event, you will be rescheduled to a future course or registration placed on "hold" status.
